I’d like to book my dog in - what’s the next step?

Great! Just phone or email us and we’ll arrange a “meet & greet” with you and your dog/s, work out a schedule that suits and away we go.

How does key collection work?

We’ll need a key to access to your dog/s if nobody will be home when we call. Keys are stored in a safe box when not in use and do not have any identifying address or contact details on them.

What areas do you cover?

We primarily walk dogs that live in Westmere, Ponsonby, Herne Bay, St Mary’s Bay, Freeman’s Bay, Arch Hill, Grey Lynn, West Lynn, Point Chevalier and Western Springs.

Do you have emergency procedures in place?

Yes. We have a step by step processes in place for lost, injured and unwell pets. We are Pet First Aid certified and always carry your emergency contact details, your vet’s details and emergency vet & SPCA contacts.

Do you walk rain or shine?

Yes! We work through all seasons and all conditions, unless there is a health & safety danger to the dogs.
- In wet weather we will give your dog a wipe down and towel dry after their walk.
- On hot days we keep the dogs cool by wetting them down at the start of the walks, and picking walking routes with plenty of shade and sometime include a swimming option as well.

How do you ensure my pet’s safety?

Safety is absolutely paramount and we take it very seriously. Our van is fully air-conditioned and specially equipped to transport dogs in safety and comfort. The dogs are never left unattended. While we are getting to know your dog they will be walked on-leash all the time - unless we are in a fenced off-leash dog area or you are confident that your dog has excellent re-call and will come when called. For all group walks we match the dogs that get along & keep our group size small to make sure your dog gets the care and attention it should have.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you do need to cancel an appointment we ask
that you give us 24 hours’ notice.

Do you offer discounts for regular multiple daily walks/

Yes! Ask about discounted rates for high frequency walk schedules.

I have more than one dog in my household, do
I get a discount?

Yes! We offer discounts for multiple dogs from the same household.

I’m going away - could you feed my cat and water my plants?

Yes! We can take care of cats and plants - please contact us for more info.

Do you need up to date vaccination records?

Yes, we ask that you have your dog’s vaccination certificate ready to be sighted at the Meet and Greet. All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations.
- Vaccinations must be administered within 12 months but no later than 1 week prior to our first walk
- Current DHPP (Distemper/Hepatitis/Parainfluenza/Parvovirus) , Leptovirus, Bordatella (kennel cough) vaccinations.
- We accept the vaccination protocols set by your vet in terms of updates i.e. 1 , 2 or 3 years
